Miryco Consultants are working with a leading insurer that is embarking on a major transformation programme to strengthen its pricing capabilities, introducing new pricing systems, advanced modelling techniques, and enhanced performance monitoring. This initiative is reshaping how pricing, market strategy, and governance operate across the business. As part of this transformation, we’re seeking an experienced Head of Pricing Governance & Controls to oversee pricing assurance, underwriting controls, and governance frameworks. This is a high-impact role focused on maintaining effective pricing discipline, ensuring strong risk control, and driving positive customer outcomes alongside commercial success. Responsibilities Lead the design and delivery of the pricing governance strategy to balance commercial performance with fair customer outcomes. Oversee teams responsible for pricing assurance, underwriting governance, and quality control. Chair or contribute to governance committees to ensure agile, well-informed decision-making and effective risk management. Develop and maintain robust controls and documentation for pricing and underwriting processes. Monitor and interpret emerging regulatory, compliance, and business requirements, adapting governance frameworks as needed. Collaborate with technical and commercial teams to embed best practices across pricing systems and data management. Skills & Experience Strong background in pricing, actuarial science, or data-driven risk management within health or general insurance. Deep understanding of pricing and underwriting methodologies, regulatory frameworks, and market dynamics. Proven ability to translate strategy into actionable plans and deliver results through effective leadership. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to simplify technical concepts for diverse stakeholders. Strong analytical and mathematical capability with a pragmatic approach to governance and control. Experience developing teams and driving high performance within a fast-paced, change-oriented environment.
