Lead Model Validation Analyst London | Up to £90,000 + Bonus + Benefits | Hybrid / Flexible Are you a credit risk modelling expert who thrives on precision, purpose, and impact? Our client is looking for a Lead Validation Analyst to own and enhance critical financial models — from marketing and acquisitions to customer management and impairment provisioning — while driving model risk excellence across the organisation. What You’ll Do ✅ Lead the model risk agenda — assess, challenge, and improve key scorecard and credit risk models. ✅ Oversee post-launch model performance — recalibration, monitoring, and stress testing. ✅ Partner with first-line teams to strengthen design, resolve risk issues, and embed robust governance. ✅ Develop and refine models that balance predictive power, regulatory compliance, and business goals. ✅ Produce clear, compelling reports for senior management and regulators. ✅ Evolve modelling frameworks and risk methodologies in line with industry best practice. What You Bring Degree (or higher) in a quantitative field — Finance, Maths, Stats, Economics, or Computer Science. 7+ years in model development or model risk management within financial services. Technical expertise in Python, R, SQL, and strong understanding of credit modelling. ️ Excellent communicator — able to turn technical analysis into business insight.
