Quantity Surveyor Vacancy
My client, a medium sized main contractor who have been successfully established for four decades, with a range of clients including local authorities,housing associations, historic estates and schools/universities/colleges.
Having won repeated business and numerous new contracts throughout London and the South East, my client is currently keen to employ a skilled Quantity Surveyor to work within their busy and successful team.
The role will be head office based working within the main contracts division.
Responsibilities and requirements include:
* Previous experience across a range of work streams including refurbishment and new builds contract - experience of either SOR maintenance works or heritage projects will be desirable.
* Budgeting from first principles.
* Proven ability to minimise cost, and to maximise value and cashflow.
* A working knowledge of standard forms of contracts.
* Supplier and subcontractor engagement
* Cost reporting and final accounting.
* Dynamic approach to working under pressure and meeting deadlines.
Skills required include:
* Qualifications in Quantity Surveying or similar function.
* Excellent IT skills, preferably Excel, Word, PowerPoint and estimating/surveying software.
* Holder of full clean drivers licence.
