Technical Lead | Hybrid / Lincoln | £55,000 – £65,000 Peaple Talent is partnering with a leading professional services organisation seeking a highly skilled Technical Lead to take ownership of their IT estate and drive technical excellence across the business. You’ll work hands-on across a mature, well-structured IT environment, ensuring secure, reliable, high-performing infrastructure and leading the organisation’s cloud transformation journey into Azure. This role blends strategic technical oversight with deep, practical engineering expertise. Perfect for someone who wants to shape the direction of technology without formal team management responsibilities. What You’ll Do Oversee and optimise all technical IT operations, including infrastructure, networking, systems, backups, and security Drive and support the organisation’s Azure cloud transformation (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) Ensure system availability, resilience, and performance through proactive monitoring and maintenance Implement and refine IT policies, processes, and procedures aligned with industry best practices Manage vendor relationships and handle technical escalations Lead disaster recovery, business continuity, and cybersecurity initiatives What You’ll Bring 10+ years of experience in IT operations, with at least 3 years in a senior technical or lead role Proven expertise in managing Microsoft Azure environments and cloud migrations Strong understanding of networking, virtualisation, and security principles Experience with ITIL frameworks and service management best practices Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, evolving environment with competing priorities Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified, ITIL) are desirable Why It’s a Great Fit This role is ideal for a hands-on technical expert who wants to influence technology direction and deliver high-impact improvements.
