Accommodating growing demand from new and current shareholders, this funding is driving our expansion in North America and EMEA, and accelerating the deployment of our technology in domains where there is both urgent need and potential to scale.nYour TeamnYou will join our Vehicle Engineering team, who build and maintain our test vehicles and integrate our systems into customer platforms to prove our leading autonomy tech in real-world environmentsnJob RolenBuild, convert, upgrade and commission vehicles or properties into robust autonomous test prototypesnMaintain the test fleet by performing vehicle safety checks, ADAS sensor tests and regular maintenance.nAssist in the initialisation of new sensor hardware installations.nPrepare all aspects of autonomous vehicles for tests, customer trials and demonstrations.nPerform the role of Safety Driver in test vehiclesnUndertake site visits to customers and partnersnWork closely with a team of engineers within the group whose mission is to provide a rock-solid foundation for testing and exploitation of our robotics science

DocumentationnAid in the documentation of vehicle build manuals and including hardware modifications to capture final build specification.nAid in the upkeep of procedures and how to guides.

CommunicationnYou will be encouraged to share your ideas with your team and the wider business in a respectful mannernYou should listen to and digest company communications and absorb where necessary

Requirements

You'll need:nFull automotive mechanic qualificationsnPrevious exposure within prototype build and automotive electronicsnPrevious technician or engineering experiencenExperience of building and modifying vehicles and/or prototype electronic installationsnFull driving licencenExperience debugging electrical and hardware problems on vehiclesnWe are unable to offer visa sponsorship for this position. All applicants must have the unrestricted right to work and remain in the UK indefinitely.

Extra Kudos if you have:nPrevious experience with ADAS systems.nExperience with automotive electrical systems. including CAN and vehicle diagnostics.nExperience supporting road cars/motorsport vehicles at tests, demos or events.nAbility to read and interpret engineering drawingsnExperience working with 3D printing/rapid prototyping componentsnExperience with fabricationnExperience in field testing within autonomous vehicle, automotive prototype test vehicle or motorsport domainnExperience with supporting field trials and data collection exercises in outdoor settings
