Person Specification:

They are looking for their next Senior Structural Engineer to have a Bachelor or Master’s Degree in Civil/Structural engineering (or equivalent) with a minimum of 5 years post-graduate experience. The candidate could be Chartered or working towards chartered status with ICE or IStructE. You will have hands-on design experience and the ability to work on multiple projects at one time with excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Job Responsibilities:

In a nutshell, you’ll be working on a wide range of projects as a Senior Structural Engineer, and have experience in frame, steel frame, medium to high-rise design, and existing structures, working across sectors such as residential, commercial, refurbishment, and industrial. You should be skilled at using software such as MasterSeries, Tekla, CSC Fastrak, or Strand7 for calculations and structural design. Responsibilities include preparing, detailing, and reviewing drawings, supervising CAD Technicians, preparing design quotes, writing reports, mentoring, and checking work for Graduates, Engineers, and Technicians. You should also be able to work collaboratively with engineers in other disciplines and attend client and project meetings.
