Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Take responsibility for leading web and application development from a technical perspective on small to large sized projects.
  • Make sure that everything we deliver from a technical standpoint is of the highest possible quality and has scalability in mind.
  • Create detailed plans for a project’s technical development and the ability to give accurate estimates on deliverables.
  • Interpret business requirements and technical specification documents, to deliver an appropriate technical solution to agreed quality and timelines.
  • Contribute and work as a team using project management & web development tools.
  • Take ownership of new feature development
  • Stay updated with emerging technologies and programming trends.
  • Proactively identify and resolve potential issues before they become critical incidents.
  • Code quality and development best practices.
  • Set up and maintain deployment systems.
  • Develop and deliver high-profile, accessible, and standards-compliant web projects.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to deliver technical solutions aligned with business requirements.
  • Conduct unit, systems, and integration testing during the development process.

Preferred Skills

  • Excellent knowledge of Nodejs and NPM
  • Commercial experience with AWS.
  • Solid understanding of REST API design and experience working with GraphQL.
  • Experience working with databases - NoSQL/SQL.
  • Have experience integrating 3rd party APIS/SDK's.
  • Commercial experience using HTML, CSS, JavaScript/jQuery.
  • Experience with version control systems.
  • Experience working with Shopify (or similar templated system)
  • Familiarity with MongoDB
  • Willingness to take ownership of issues and deliverables.
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to manage own time.
