Who will you be supporting?
- We are a service of 5 individuals who are different in lots of ways (that's what makes us so interesting)
- The majority of us are wheelchair users and require physical support to be as independent as possible.
- We have different challenges in our lives which include visual and hearing impairment, autism and learning disabilities.We have a staff team who are all trained and familiar with supporting someone with similar needs.
What is important to us
- we enjoy outdoor activities, including shopping, theatres eating out, sensory and learning new skills. One interest we all have in common is listening to music and we all love a good sing along.
- Some qualities everyone has identified as desirable for our new staff member are that they are fun loving, kind, caring, considerate, respectful of other people's personal space and belongings and have a love of music.
Our service
There is an opportunity to go bowling in South Shields as well as many other areas of interest to explore. Our home is close to all local amenities in South Shields town centre being only a short bus ride away We are close to the metro station and as you can see this is the town Centre where there is a theatre many shops and a market on a weekend.
