Automatic Door Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Automatic Door Service Engineer to cover the West Midlands area – working knowledge of automatic door systems and practices is required. Hours of work are Monday - Friday days with availability for out of hours call outs.
Duties to include:
* Conducting fault finding, stripping down, and the repair of all manufacturers’ automatic doors and equipment.
* Ensuring all equipment is left in safe working order, restored in-line with BS 7036 and BS EN16005 safety standards.
* Providing scheduled maintenance cover and where required, out of hours call-outs.
* Completion of work in a timely manner, aiming to rectify faults on first attendance to site.
* Housekeeping tasks to be carried out during all visits and customers to be made aware of the work that has been completed on site, and any recommended/required works going forwards.
* Submission of detailed reports on the work carried out, findings, details of stock used, and a video of the doors left in working order.
* Consulting with customers on their door requirements, promoting all intercompany/group products where possible.
* Adhering to health and safety systems at all times to ensure the correct and safe servicing of our products
Requirements:
- Proven experience working as an Engineer.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent project management abilities.
- Proficient in CAD software and other engineering tools.
- Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
