Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor with a robust background in groundworks to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in cost management, contract administration, and financial control specific to groundworks projects.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare and manage project cost estimates, budgets, and financial reports.
* Conduct detailed measurement and valuation of groundworks, including excavation, foundations, and drainage.
* Negotiate contracts and manage subcontractor relationships.
* Monitor project costs, identifying and managing risks to ensure profitability.
* Prepare and submit accurate interim valuations, final accounts, and variations.
* Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and industry standards.
* Provide cost advice and support to project teams throughout the project lifecycle.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
* Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor, with a significant focus on groundworks.
* Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations specific to groundworks.
* Proficiency in cost estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
* Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
* Membership in a relevant professional body (e.g., RICS) is preferred
