ELP/Maintenance Support Engineer

The role holder will be responsible for on base management of aircraft equipment, including configuration management, determining the repair location for equipment declared unserviceable and creating and managing work packages for any on-base repairs.
The role holder will be involved in delivery of Maintenance Support Engineering tasks, including support to the authoring and approval of task definitions within the System of Record (IMS).
Core Activities
The Role Holder Has The Following Responsibilities
Ensure the configuration of equipment managed within the Integrated Maintenance Solution is accurate and up to date as it transits through the ELP, including engineering data quality inspections.nAuthoring and approving of off aircraft task definitions within the aircraft system of record. Ensuring compliance with approved data and the company process. Support on-aircraft maintenance tasking as required.nDeliver the authoring and activation of tooling, calibration and GSE maintenance requirements.nAgainst the requirements of the approved Tactical Fleet plan, analyse the maintenance requirements for specific components and resolve any issues to ensure the timely creation of component work packages.nDevelop and maintain the associated work package(s), including the technical instructions, resource and materiel requirements for the individual maintenance activity.nUndertake the planning of additional and emergent work during maintenance, to ensure work load is managed effectively against schedule requirements.nPerformance indicators - Ensure the effective provision of Maintenance Tasking & Verification activities by meeting delivery targets and reporting any impact on Continuing Airworthiness.nCompletion of activities - Ensure all Maintenance Tasking & Verification activities are appropriately documented and airworthiness records are maintained on relevant systems.nProcedure/standards - Comply with the MAI CAME, its associated procedures and standards and any other Company procedures and standards.nSafety Management System - Ensure Human Factors and Error Management philosophies are applied to all Maintenance Tasking & Verification activities and the means by which risks are mitigated and managed.nManagement System Assurance - Ensure Maintenance Tasking & Verification activities are compliant with the Governance and Assurance framework, including supporting Process Confirmations and audits.nStatutory / Regulatory & Legislative requirements - Able to demonstrate an appropriate level of understanding and application of the relevant Continuing Airworthiness Regulatory framework. Ensure compliance with all other requirements, e.g. ITAR, EaPW, ISO, etc.nContractual Requirements - Ensure compliance with applicable contractual requirements and the incorporation of required changes into the Maintenance Tasking & Verification processes.
Knowledge
Key Accountabilities
Recent in-depth experience, to a level appropriate for the role within a Maintenance & Support environment, including direct experience of supporting or maintaining fleets of aircraft.nComprehensive knowledge of Hawk AJT aircraft and its associated support equipmentnThorough knowledge of interaction between MAOS and DAOS organisationsnDetailed understanding of Safety and Quality ManagementnUnderstands the Regulatory Framework and its applicability to the Maintenance Tasking and Verification processes and activities.nHave operational knowledge of the fleet's performance and the business key performance metrics.nDemonstrate an understanding of Fleet Planning, Maintenance Tasking & Verification and Demand Management.
Skills
Good to strong quantitative and analytical skills/experience, with Lean management principles.nEffective, credible communicator with good interpersonal skills.nRequires product knowledge and a good understanding of the relationship with interfacing / contributory areas.nAble to analyse and interpret data with a high level of attention to detail.nComprehensive understanding of current IT software packages used within the Maintenance Tasking & Verification discipline.
Qualifications
Excellent communicator with strong organisational and presentational skills.nMinimum of a recognised qualification to NVQ3/ONC level in a relevant Technical discipline, or Part 66 Category A qualified, or suitable equivalent.nIT Literate
