Order Gateway/Market Access - C++ - Software Engineer

A leading global multi-strat hedge fund, specializing in employing a range of systematic and quantitative strategies across various financial markets, that is rooted in extensive trading, technology, and operational proficiency. As a firm driven by technology and data, it takes pride in developing and refining advanced systems, encompassing high-performance trading platforms and expansive data analysis and computation infrastructure. Currently expanding its core technology team, they are seeking assistance in the redesign and implementation of its Order Gateway and Market Access systems to be used by the firm's trading platform globally.


Key Technical Responsibilities:

  • Through hands-on coding, help implement the redesign of the Order Gateway system.
  • Develop and deploy trading gateways to global exchanges and brokers.
  • Designing, developing, and testing Order Gateways which are connected to global markets at high speeds.
  • Building and enhancing Market Access systems for the firm's trading business.
  • Collaborate closely with Quant Researchers and fellow technologists to ensure the maximization of software components globally.

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related STEM subject.
  • 4+ years C++ Linux-based development experience.
  • Market Access experience.
  • Prior experience as a software engineer in the finance industry is needed.


Other Skills:

  • Experience with FIX or other gateway protocols.
  • Experience in smart order routing, OMS, EMS, exchange connectivity.
  • Python proficiency.
