Our client is a leading industrial technology company based in Cheshire, specialising in innovative industrial solutions. This is a hybrid role, so would suitable for a candidate in the West Midlands area.


Job Overview:

The CFOO will be a vital face of the company who will lead operational and financial management for the Group’s global business.


As Chief Financial and Operating Officer, you will play a crucial role in steering the company through its next phase of growth. Your dual expertise in finance and operations will ensure we maximise our resources efficiently and sustainably, while maintaining our position at the forefront of industrial technology.


This role requires flexibility in terms of working hours and travel as it is working alongside our global partners and team members in the UK and the Philippines.


The role is based in our Chester office – it is envisaged that, subject to regular planning and workload reviews with the CEO, and FD as required, the role will be in the Chester office at least 3 days per week.


Responsibilities

 

Ensure the effective development of operational systems, processes and infrastructure – including supply chain management, research & development, digitisation and external product development for the Group’s global business


To ensure that all operations are carried out in an appropriate and cost-effective way.


Manage day-to-day operations of the operational, to ensure product is available for customers within agreed timeframes.


Manage the finance and admin teams and deliver effective commercial support to the operational and sales teams – ensuring that all contracts are approved before execution and, where outside of agreed budgets, reviewed with the FD.


Develop and maintain budgets and forecasts to facilitate effective cash flow management


Manage the annual audit process, UK and Philippines taxation and assist the FD with statutory reporting an corporate governance compliance.


Effective reporting of operational and financial performance to the FD and Board monthly, or more frequently to the FD as required.


Manage direct reports to ensure achievement of KPIs and increased quality of customer service.


Develop and deliver all Health & Safety related requirements.


Be an effective, supportive member of the team and contribute to the business and team development.


Act in a professional and courteous manner at all times.


Qualifications

Proven experience as a CFO, COO, or in a similar senior role within a technology-driven industry.

Strong understanding of corporate finance and performance management principles

Qualified chartered accountant – ICEAW, ACCA or equivalent – with at lease 5 years post qualification experience.

Bachelors degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Business Management or equivalent from a recognised University.

Proven track record in managing finance and operations teams in a fast paced, growth focused business.

A good understanding of big data, data science and wide area network (WAN) communication protocols/systems would be desirable.

Demonstrated collaborative leadership skills and experience.

Good commercial acumen and organisational skills – proven track record of developing, and achieving KPIs.

Exceptional written, verbal and English language communication skills – including good working knowledge of MS Office software and, desirably, Xero.

Ability to travel unencumbered within Asia and Europe (specifically, to China, India and the Philippines) is required and the ability to travel unencumbered globally is desirable.
