About the role:
This is not just another TA position—it’s an opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children who need it most. As an SEN Teaching Assistant specializing in Challenging Behaviours, you will work closely with children who require additional support to overcome behavioural challenges, helping them to achieve their academic and personal goals.
You will be an integral part of a dedicated team, working alongside experienced SEN professionals and classroom teachers to implement tailored strategies that address each child’s unique needs. This role demands patience, empathy, and a proactive approach, with the reward of watching your students grow and succeed under your care.
Application Requirements:
• Previous experience working with children with SEN, particularly those with challenging behaviours.
• A passion for supporting children’s educational and emotional development.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
• Flexibility, resilience, and a positive attitude.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support students with challenging behaviours in both classroom settings and one-on-one environments.
• Develop and implement tailored strategies to help students manage their behaviours and engage with their learning.
• Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and other professionals to create an inclusive learning environment.
• Monitor and report on student progress, adapting strategies as needed.
