Pick Everard have an opportunity for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our Building Services team in Bristol.  In line with our company ethos to evolve and strive for excellence, we are looking for a driven and capable individual. The Senior Mechanical Engineer is a key role to delivering exceptional technical and commercial solutions to a range of clients across the private and public sector; including education, defence, healthcare, custodial and commercial.  Take a look at some of our projects here: Discover our projects - Pick Everard

You will work to ensure projects are delivered to the right scope of time, quality and budget. You will manage contracts, p repare designs and reports, feasibility studies, and contract documents, l iaise directly with Clients and Contractors and c arry out building analysis and provide system design calculations. You will supervise a growing team of engineers and technicians and assist in management of project resources and costs.

About You

This role will suit a Senior Building Services Engineer (Mechanical) who has strong experience working on a variety of projects within the built environment.

Our ideal Senior Building Services Engineer (Mechanical) must have: 

  • HND/Degree or equivalent professional qualification
  • Knowledge of construction industry design processes, procurement arrangements and current legislation e.g. Building Regulations
  • Awareness of electrical services principles and knowledge of H&S / CDM requirements
  • Heating-, cooling-, ventilation and domestic water services system design experience
  • Mechanical design software experience

It would be nice for you to have: 

  • Chartered Engineer (CEng) with post chartered relevant experience, or IEng, BEng or similar with post incorporated relevant experience.
  • Business development, resource planning and management experience
  • Knowledge of specification writing / NBS Engineering
