Role Overview


This is a career defining opportunity for an experienced Program Delivery Director to join company with a long standing history providing 25% of UK Financial Service Sector with software & managed services.


You will take overall responsibility for programme delivery into top Tier 1 Banks/FIs, managing complex migrations and fostering deep client relationships. Working closely with major financial institutions, this role focuses on delivery excellence, growing account opportunities, and strengthening presence within these client accounts.


This is a unique opportunity to make a measurable impact on the business, working alongside the UK MD in strategically critical client interactions, including Board-level and public engagements.


Key Responsibilities


Programme Delivery


• Oversee the delivery of multi-million-pound migration and transformation programmes for Tier 1 FIs.

• Lead and manage a dedicated team of 2 Programme Managers, each with 10–20 resources delivering on client sites.

• Ensure best-in-class programme management practices, maintaining accountability for timelines, budgets, and quality.


Client Engagement and Growth


• Serve as the primary relationship manager for C-level executives in Tier 1 FIs, guiding, influencing, and ensuring service excellence.

• Identify and drive account expansion opportunities, leveraging migrations, acquisitions, and the introduction of new services.

• Position the business as the preferred partner for technology and operational support, fostering trust and building enduring client relationships.


Strategic Influence


• Support the growth of influence in FI portfolios, working to deepen market penetration.

• Represent the business at high-level client and public forums, including Board meetings and strategic reviews, to align the company’s services with clients’ goals.

• Collaborate with senior leadership to align delivery with business growth objectives.


Candidate Profile


Required Experience


• Strong track record of delivering complex implementation or migration programmes within Tier 1 financial institutions.

• Proven ability to manage C-level relationships, influence key decision-makers, and foster account growth.

• Experience in consultancy/system integrator (SI) environments, balancing delivery excellence with account expansion responsibilities.


Leadership Qualities


• Exceptional relationship-building skills, able to position yourself as an indispensable partner to clients.

• A strategic mindset, with the ability to spot opportunities for growth and navigate client organisations.

• Skilled at managing large teams, including senior managers and delivery teams, across multiple client sites.

Ideal Candidate


An ambitious, experienced delivery leader who combines programme management expertise with the ability to cultivate strong executive relationships and drive account expansion. Comfortable leading high-stakes engagements and excel at creating long-term value for both clients and the organisation.
