I am recruiting for an experienced Clinical Deputy Manager for a lovely nursing home in Bedford. As the Clinical Deputy Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality of care provided at our nursing home. Working closely with the Home Manager, you will lead and support our team of nurses and carers, helping to maintain the excellent standards that our residents and their families expect. Your expertise will be crucial in managing the clinical aspects of our care, from day-to-day nursing oversight to ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities as a Clinical Deputy Manager:
• Assist the Home Manager in the overall management of the nursing home.
• Lead and supervise the clinical team, ensuring a high standard of care is delivered at all times.
• Oversee care planning, assessments, and the delivery of person-centered care.
• Ensure compliance with CQC regulations and other relevant legislation.
• Manage and monitor the administration of medication, ensuring safe and effective practices.
• Support staff development through training, mentoring, and performance management.
• Liaise with residents, their families, and external healthcare professionals to ensure the well-being of all residents.
• Take charge in the absence of the Home Manager, ensuring continuity of care and management.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience as a Clinical Deputy Manager:
• Registered General Nurse (RGN) qualification is essential.
• Current and valid NMC registration.
• A minimum of 2 years' experience working in a nursing home environment.
• Proven leadership and management experience within a clinical setting.
• Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A commitment to providing compassionate, high-quality care.
You must be fully flexible for this role.
You will be required to work 3 12 hour shifts per week.
Supernumerary hours will also be required.
