Are you passionate about providing exceptional support to vulnerable children?
I am currently in contact with an all-through Alternation Provision school which specialises in Trauma and SEMH. The school are actively seeking a motivated and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join their team in providing support to students with trauma.

  • Awarded 'Good' from Ofsted
  • Named 'Employer of the Year' at the National Children and Young People Awards in 2021
  • Classrooms fitted with modern technology, an outside learning area and private study stations are purposefully used to create a personal learning experience for each child.
  • Trauma-informed school working towards the Attachment and Trauma Sensitive Award

Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) | Job Summary
  • Create a learning environment where emotional well-being and academic success are combined to enable each child to succeed
  • Provide exceptional support to children and teenagers with trauma and mental health difficulties
  • Improve student's emotional well-being and emotional dysregulation
  • Working within the Trauma-informed practice model
  • Full-time hours of 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday from 8.30am to 4.30pm
  • Earn up to £500 per week on PAYE basis

Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) | About You
  • Graduated with a 2:1 in Psychology at a top 30 UK university
  • Have extensive work experience in SEN or AP schools
  • Valid Driving Licence (possibility to do outreach)
  • Great communication and interpersonal skills
  • You are passionate and committed to provide support to students of various ages with trauma and SEMH
