Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Coded Stick Welder to join our team for a 4-month project based on the quayside in Wallsend. This role involves the welding and burning of sea fastenings, requiring precision, expertise, and adherence to safety standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in welding, particularly with stick welding techniques, and be comfortable working in a demanding and fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Welding: Perform high-quality stick welding on sea fastenings, ensuring all welds meet industry standards and project specifications.
* Burning: Safely and efficiently cut and burn sea fastenings as required, maintaining accuracy and adherence to safety protocols.
* Inspection: Regularly inspect welds and burns to ensure they meet required standards and make any necessary adjustments or repairs.
* Safety Compliance: Follow all safety guidelines and procedures, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe handling of welding and burning equipment.
Qualifications:
* Certification: Must hold a valid coded welder certification for stick welding (SMAW)
