Mechanical Assembler

£13.50 p/h
Mechanical Assembler required for a global specialist manufacturing business based in Uxbridge, to work 4 days per week, only.
This is a permanent role where you will work on our production process, ensuring the efficient assembly of mechanical components according to quality standards. This exciting position offers an opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology serving Defence and Military industries.
Key Responsibilities:
Assemble mechanical components and subassemblies according to engineering drawings.
Utilize hand tools, power tools, and machinery to perform assembly tasks.
Inspect parts for defects or imperfections and troubleshoot assembly issues as needed.
Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety protocols to maintain a safe and productive work environment.
Wok closely with engineers and quality control personnel to resolve any quality or design issues
Maintain a clean and organized work area adhering to lean manufacturing principles.
Meet production targets and deadlines
Ensure high product quality and adherence to specifications.Qualifications:
Previous experience in mechanical assembly (Mandatory)
Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and blueprints.
Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with hand and power tools.
Attention to detail is ESSENTIAL
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.Work hours: Monday to Thursday (7h30 - 17h) and overtime will be paid if requested to work on Fridays (6 hours max).
