The Role
This is a full-time role, starting as soon as possible. You will be supporting an individual pupil in Key Stage 2. The pupil has an EHCP (Education, Health and Care Plan) which targets their SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) support needs.
Main Responsibilities
Deliver targeted interventions focusing on social and emotional skills.
Support pupil in class to access the teaching content and engage in lessons.
Manage challenging behaviour in a calm and patient manner.
Ensure pupil's safety and welfare is always maintained.
Feed back to the class teacher and/or SENDCo at regular points throughout the week.

Previous experience working in an educational setting
Ability to build trusting relationships, remain calm under pressure, and use initiative
Patience

Flexibility
Desirable Criteria
Previous experience supporting pupils with SEND
Education qualification
