Bridging Underwriter Job Description:
It is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bridging Underwriter to join its dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in underwriting short-term property finance, with a deep understanding of the bridging loans market. You will play a crucial role in assessing and approving loan applications, ensuring they meet our company's risk criteria and lending policies.
Bridging Underwriter Key Responsibilities:
* Evaluate and underwrite bridging loan applications, ensuring compliance with company policies and risk appetite.
* Conduct thorough due diligence on applicants, including credit checks, property valuations, and financial assessments.
* Communicate effectively with brokers, clients, and internal teams to facilitate a smooth underwriting process.
* Prepare and present detailed reports and recommendations to the credit committee.
* Stay updated on market trends, regulatory changes, and industry best practices.
* Contribute to the continuous improvement of underwriting processes and risk management strategies.
Bridging Underwriter Requirements:
* Proven experience as an Underwriter in the bridging loans or short-term finance sector.
* Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
* Excellent knowledge of property finance and the UK lending market.
* Ability to assess complex financial information and make informed decisions.
* Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
* Proficiency in relevant software and financial analysis tools.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
* Relevant qualifications in finance, banking, or a related field are desirable.
