Randstad Sourceright, a leading provider of RPO & MSP Recruitment Services is currently seeking a Senior Buyer on behalf of a well established organisation on a temp basis.


The main purpose of this role will be to work alongside the Procurement Team across the full product service life cycle. You will ensure commercial supplier issues are resolved and build positive and lasting relationships with suppliers. Some of the main duties will include but are not limited to:



  • Assist in creating procurement plans
  • Proactive supplier and technology scouting
  • Manage supplier capabilities to deliver materials and services in line with business requirements related to commercial, quality and supply aspects
  • Negotiate and implement supplier contracts for projects
  • Develop and implement external Supplier and Commodity strategies that will drive long-term improvements in Quality, Cost and Delivery, with engagement
  • Operate within the Supply Chain Management Team / Procurement Team across the full product / service life cycle ensuring supplier commercial issues are resolved effectively and efficiently
  • Share and implement best practices and align with other SCM / procurement functions globally and regionally


Required experience:

  • Experience in procurement preferably in the building/construction/oil & gas industry
  • Must possess excellent communication and relationship development skills
  • CIPS Qualification advantageous but NOT essential
