One of the UK’s most exciting Insurance companies is looking to expand their Exposure team after a transformation and fantastic year. We are currently on the lookout for Catastrophe Modelling Analysts with experience in ReInsurance markets.


We are looking for confident, eager Analysts to join this incredible environment, these Analysts will be providing comprehensive and thoughtful modelling output to key stakeholders throughout the pricing process whilst assisting with portfolio roll-up and other value-add modelling tasks. This could be supporting Senior Analysts in aiding underwriting decision making identify patterns and potential anomalies within data or assess and forecast risk exposure.


This Analyst will be a key point of contact for underwriters and other stakeholders, with queries relating to the pricing of accounts and portfolio roll-up.


We’re seeking a Catastrophe Modelling Analyst that is able to demonstrate skills/knowledge such as;

  • Sound financial and commercial acumen
  • Risk analytics modelling experience is essential, using the following: RMS RiskLink/RMS Risk Manager/AIR Touchstone
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills are essential
  • Sound knowledge of data management and structures
  • General coding logic and coding experience in SQL are highly desirable, skills in R &/or Python would be useful
  • Experience in utilising data manipulation and visualisation tools are desirable, e.g. PowerBI
  • Ability to design, operate, interpret and communicate quantitative reporting
  • Experience in using DFA tools and Underwriting administration systems are desirable
  • Knowledge and experience of the (re)insurance industry is desirable
  • Technical knowledge of (re)insurance, outward reinsurance, the general underwriting process and underwriting performance are desirable


The successful candidate will earn up to £80,000 and in addition there are exceptional benefits which come as part of the overall package including: Discretionary bonus, 18% pension, medical cover/insurance plus numerous soft leisurely benefits. The team works on a hybrid basis, with 2 days a week on-site in their Central London office.
