My client, a busy and ever growing Plant repair Company, are looking for an experienced Plant Fitter / Mobile Fitter / Mobile Plant Fitter / Mechanic / Agricultural Engineer / HGV Fitter / Diesel Mechanic / Plant Engineer / Mechanical Engineer / Mobile Plant Mechanic to work mobile from Derby covering all surrounding areas and the Midlands.
Key responsibilities for the Plant Fitter / Mobile Fitter / Mobile Plant Fitter / Mechanic / Agricultural Engineer / HGV Fitter / Diesel Mechanic / Plant Engineer / Mechanical Engineer / Mobile Plant Mechanic:
  • Test vehicles and plant machinery and diagnose faults
  • Recognise and report vehicle/component defects or symptoms of impending failure
  • Service, adjust and repair vehicles/components
  • -Electrical fault finding
  • -Hydraulic repairs
  • Complete job records

Essential Qualities for the Plant Fitter / Mobile Fitter / Mobile Plant Fitter / Mechanic / Agricultural Engineer / HGV Fitter / Diesel Mechanic / Plant Engineer / Mechanical Engineer / Mobile Plant Mechanic:
  • Previous experience in mechanics (preferably heavy vehicle, Construction vehicles, plant, waste and recycling vehicles and agriculture)
  • -Clear understanding of mechanical / hydraulic / electrical systems
  • -Technical ability - strong electrical fault finding abilities
  • Qualification in plant, HGV, mechanical engineering is desirable
  • Full Driving licence
  • Computer literate - confident in using software to integrate with machines
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Team player, honest, reliable, trustworthy and a good time keeper
  • Ability to use own initiative
  • Literacy and numeracy skills
  • Attention to detail
  • - Welding and Fabricating are desirable
  • Problem solving skills - logical approach to diagnostic tasks
  • -Effective Communicator
