Description:

Here at Hatboro-Horsham School District, we are here to provide your child with support to help them be successful. Today's school counselors are vital members of the education team. They help all students in the areas of academic achievement, personal/social development and career development, ensuring today's students become the productive, well-adjusted adults of tomorrow. Here you will find information on your school's counseling department.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop academic, career and personal/social developmental programs for students
  • Provide individual and group counseling to students on an as-needed basis
  • Work with teachers, administrators and parents to help students succeed
  • Assist students in making informed decisions about their future
  • Advocate for the needs of all students and help create a positive and inclusive school environment

Requirements:

  • Master's Degree in Counseling or related field
  • Certification as a school counselor
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience working with children and adolescents
