We are seeking a range of Instructors and a Development Worker to join the Diagrama team for our brand-new centres offering day opportunities for people with a learning disability, physical and sensory impairment, acquired brain injury and/or autism.

We strive to provide the best care , to ensure that people are supported and guided to develop positive relationships, and ensure their emotional, social, behavioural, physical and intellectual growth.

We welcome applications for more than one post as your skills may be applicable to several of our vacancies. We are flexible on hours worked over the course of the week and can work with you around your schedule and requirements to manage your work/life balance.

These new roles will be based at our sites in Burgess Hill , Haywards Heath and East Grinstead , and not limited to one location. Due to the rural locations, own transport is essential.

Our vacancies:

Horticulture Instructor(40hrs/wk) £12.66 p/h

To develop the horticultural plot (which includes a polytunnel) to provide meaningful activities for the service users to participate in to include food crop production and nature conservation. To deliver relevant accredited educational/vocational qualifications. This role will also include some basic livestock care work.

Livestock Instructor (32hrs/wk) £12.66 p/h

To develop a range of meaningful activities for the service users to participate in and to deliver relevant accredited educational/vocational qualifications. To oversee the care of livestock, including providing routine health care, development of suitable breeding programmes and the completion of relevant documentation to ensure compliance.

Arts, Crafts and Lifeskills Instructor (16hrs/wk)

To develop a range of meaningful art and craft activities for the service users to participate in and to encourage service user independence by developing their life skills. To deliver relevant accredited educational/vocational qualifications.

Catering Instructor (8hrs/wk) £12.66 p/h

To develop a range of meaningful activities for the service users to include menu planning, healthy eating, cooking simple meals and producing simple items for a café. To deliver relevant accredited educational/vocational qualifications.

Development Worker (16hrs/wk) - £11.50 p/h

To work with Instructors for a given activity (Livestock, Horticulture, Maintenance, Arts/Crafts/Lifeskills and Catering) to provide safe and professional person-centred care and support to service users to ensure they are supported and guided to develop independent skills; promote positive relationships; and aid their emotional, social, behavioural, physical and intellectual growth.
