We are looking for an experienced high performing leader with significant experience in project and construction management in the industrial sector. The execution strategy is via an alliance with other parties and differentiated relationship management skills will be required to co-ordinate the alliance partners, the engineering design and procurement organisation and the Client. A collaborative approach, strong values, and excellent communication and mediation skills are essential qualities for this role.
Role detail description
The Project Construction Director will report directly to the MD.
He/she will have the responsibility to lead the self-delivered mechanical and electrical installation and liaise with the alliance partners in their areas of expertise, i.e. Logistics and Civil/Structural installation.
The post holder will be accountable for:
Maintaining a safe working site environment
Driving the on-site engineering, construction and project control activities to meet project objectives including cost performance
Progress, technical and financial reporting to Executive Board
Client liaison
Co-ordinating activities with those of the Alliance partners
Ensuring site activities are compliant with all internal and legal requirements including CDM compliance
Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications & Experience
Experience of delivering highly complex M&E installation designs within highly regulated industry sectors
Strong contractual and commercial awareness
Financial reporting methodologies
Strong communication skills and ability to influence others within a pressurised working environment
Detailed knowledge of the legal requirements to manage construction activities in the UK
