VACANCY – MULTI-SKILLED MAINTENANCE ENGINEER  -client is particularly interested in hiring ex-military candidates 
A great opportunity has arisen for a Multi Skilled Engineer to join a well-established, packaging manufacturer who are the largest independent company in their field. The company have a growing product base which is supplied to various retailers throughout the UK. The role requires candidates who are able to work a 4 on 4 off 7-7 shift pattern alternating days and nights.  
KEY DUTIES
Reporting into the Engineering Manager, duties will include:
Carry out planned maintenance activities as scheduled by the maintenance plan
Attend and repair breakdowns as required, and report all actions carried out and any further actions required
Report in a comprehensive manner, all work activities carried out on a daily/shift basis
Be proactive in preventing equipment failures and improving overall equipment performance by generating and implementing ideas and modifications
Undertake training as required to further enhance individual’s skills and knowledge so that the level of support to the front line operations remains effective and efficient
Train others if required so that they are able to carry out their expected work duties to the required standards
Identify performance issues and implement appropriate and pragmatic solutions through the use of problem solving skills, tools and techniques
In consultation with the appropriate personnel, be able to correctly prioritise the work load for the overall benefit of the site performanceThe successful candidate will be:
Time-served to NVQ level 3 (or equivalent)
HNC (or equivalent) or higher in Engineering discipline an advantage
A proven practitioner of preventative maintenance, predictive maintenance, problem solving and continuous improvement skills
REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS
Must have a proven ability in diagnostic fault finding under pressure of production
The majority of day-to-day activities are probably 70% mechanical and 30% electrical
Familiarity with the use of PC equipment is essential
Responsible for the maintenance in the whole building
Ability to work on own initiative as well as part of team
Salary:                 £43,199.52 DOE Paid weekly (monthly option available if preferred), based on working week Sunday to Saturday.  
Shifts:                  Following induction (possible 2 – 4 weeks on dayshift) the shift pattern will be 4 on – 4 off, rotating days and nights; the hours of work being 7am-7pm days and 7pm -7am nights.
