Kensington Mortgage Company is a wholly owned subsidiary of Barclays Bank UK PLC from 1 March 2023, and the principal activity of the Company is the origination and servicing of mortgage assets. The Company is authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority for regulated activities.

Overall Purpose of JobnTo lead and manage the process of preparation of statutory accounts and audit for a number of entities, predominantly Residential Mortgage Backed Securitisations (RMBS).nThe role will report directly to Head of Finance Operations and involve active management of stakeholders including the statutory accounts outsource providers and external auditors.

THIS ROLE IS A 12 MONTHS FIXED TERM CONTRACT, WITH 1 DAY A WEEK IN CANARY WHARF, LONDON

Key AccountabilitiesnCreate and Own the Audit plan and timetable for SPV statutory accounts preparation and audit processes.nDay to Day management of Audit and statutory accounts to completion. Monitor progress of completion of deliverables, maintaining contact with all preparers on a regular basis.nResponsible for the Year end Accounting for the SPVs for accuracy and completeness.nReview and update where necessary the statutory accounts for all entities in line with IFRS, FRS 101 or 102 as required.nReview and sign off the statutory accounts including disclosures. Review queries and open items on draft statutory accounts for all entities, responding to accounts preparers and/or auditors as necessary.nAgree templates for each type of statutory accounts with the external outsource providers and the external auditorsnReview outsource providers preparation of statutory accounts for quality control purposes and feedback changes for discussion and amendment where necessarynComplete documents for signing of the accounts including, but not limited tonEngagement LetternGoing Concern AssessmentnSubsequent events confirmationnManagement Representation letternManage relationship with Directors (internal and external) and Company Secretarial department to provide the above information where necessary.nActively manage internal and external stakeholders who provide disclosure information for the relevant statutory accounts and ensure this is provided to the account’s preparers in the prescribed format and by specified deadlines.

Experience, Knowledge, SkillsnDemonstrable experience in a Financial Controllership role in a financial services business, with experience of securitisation and SPVs. Knowledge of RMBS would be preferential – Mortgage AccountingnExperience of preparation of statutory accounts under IFRS, FRS 101, FRS 102nExcellent project management skills and ability to prioritise and organise others.nAbility to communicate with and managing expectations of key organisation stakeholdersnDemonstrating a strong ability to work under pressure to meet deadlinesnIntermediate Excel skillsnStrong analytical skills and attention to detailnSelf-motivated and able to work with minimal supervisionnArticulate with good communication skillsnAble to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders
