The Head Teacher and Governors of a 'GOOD' secondary school in Ormskirk are looking to recruit a hard working and dynamic Science teacher to teach across their Key Stage 3 and 4 classes from 2nd September 2024. The vacancy has a arisen due to a Class Teacher within the department going on maternity leave.  The school is graded ‘GOOD’ by Ofsted, and is described as ‘a very happy and caring school’, where ‘pupils thrive within a calm and purposeful learning environment’. The proportion of disadvantaged pupils is average, as is the proportion of pupils with Special Educational Needs.
The successful candidate will be:
Confident in their teaching of Key Stage 3 and 4 Science
An exemplary classroom practitioner with high expectations of children’s behaviour and achievement
Able to build positive relationships with pupils, colleagues and families
Committed to providing engaging, creative and purposeful learning experiences
Innovative in their approach to children’s learning and is a life-long learner themselves
Willing to contribute to the wider life of the school
