The company is a reputable and established dealer of materials handling equipment. We specialise in the sales, service, and repair of forklift trucks and related machinery. As our business continues to grow, we are seeking a dedicated Forklift Field Service Engineer to join our team and provide exceptional service across the Portsmouth area.
Job Description:
We are looking for a skilled Field Service Engineer to maintain, repair, and service a variety of forklift trucks and related equipment. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with a range of machinery, including construction plant and specialist military vehicles and equipment. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with the right background to join a supportive and dynamic team.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform routine maintenance and emergency repairs on forklift trucks and related equipment.
* Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues effectively.
* Maintain accurate service records and communicate clearly with the service manager and customers.
* Provide excellent customer service and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
* Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Proven experience in the maintenance and repair of forklift trucks, construction plant, or specialist military vehicles and equipment.
* Strong diagnostic skills in mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
* Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Good communication and interpersonal skills.
* Relevant technical qualifications or certifications are desirable.
* Full UK driving license.
