Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Domiciliary Care Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care and support to our clients in their own homes. You must be a driver with access to your own vehicle, as the role involves traveling between clients' homes.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assisting clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
* Administering medication and ensuring adherence to care plans
* Providing companionship and emotional support
* Assisting with meal preparation and household chores
* Accompanying clients to appointments and social activities
* Monitoring and reporting any changes in clients' health or wellbeing
Requirements:
* A valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle
* Previous experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* A compassionate and patient approach
* Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
* Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends
* A clean DBS check (or willingness to undergo a DBS check)
