The opportunity:


A global drinks brand with an amazing culture and fabulous range of brands is looking for a Category Manager for their wholesale customers, who can bring their analytical skills to identify opportunities and risks for their customers and business plus utilise the category vision to be the champion of the shopper and influence change.


What will my key accountabilities be?


  • Identifying category growth opportunities and threats for their customers and brands
  • Building strategic external relationships with key wholesale customers
  • Creating solid, credible internal relationships with commercial and brand colleagues
  • Using a range of qual and quant data to deliver rounding insight and recommendations.
  • Tailoring the category strategy with their customers to engage and deliver long-term scalable competitive advantage and growth.
  • Implement and deliver strategic, category-focused projects, e.g. deep dives into promotions, underperforming segments, range, and space optimisation.
  • Support business planning by defining core ranges, SKU optimisation, and review and course correction of NPD and core.
  • Supporting selling stories into our customers with strong category rationale


Who will I be working with?


Customers, Brand team, Sales Colleagues and Field Sales teams



A great candidate will have:


  • Category Leadership experience ( 2+ years ) gained in the FMCG sector
  • The ability to turn macro, category, shopper and consumer data into actionable insight
  • Strong Analytical skills
  • Abllity to learn and extract actionable insight from a number of data sources e.g Nielson,iRi, Kantar, Mintel, Aimia, Dunnhumby, Sales out
  • Leadership of projects across multiple teams
  • Yatte Minahare ( Go for it ) sprit and an entrepreneurial flare
  • Growth mindset
  • An opinion, and you want to share it .. in the right way of course

  • Up to £60k, depending on experience.
