We're currently seeking a Senior Aero Performance Engineer to join our Aerodynamics team. The successful candidate will primarily be responsible for contributing to the constant improvement of our understanding of on-track performance and correlation to predictions using information coming from our state-of-the-art CFD, Wind Tunnel and Driver in the Loop Simulator.
As a Senior Aero Performance Engineer you will:
- Lead analysis and assessment of track aero performance and comparison to Wind Tunnel and CFD predictions.
- Constructs CFD, wind tunnel and track experiments to answer key questions on performance and correlation.
- Analyses performance and correlation data across environments, from offline car simulations, driver in the loop simulations to track data, wind tunnel and CFD results.
- Provides guidance to other engineers to ensure successful delivery of all aspects of the aero group’s work.
- Contributes to the improvement and development of analysis tools for performance data.
Our ideal candidate is someone who has:
- Strong communication and collaboration skills. Ability to work with a wide range of groups and disciplines seamlessly.
- Ability to develop strong relationships which support a high-pressure environment
- Proven track record of analysing aerodynamic performance data from all F1 environments
- Great analytical and decision-making skills
- Understanding of the capability and limitations of the simulation environments available in the F1 industry.
- Degree in Aeronautical or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).

The Williams Group is based in multi acre complex located in Grove, Oxfordshire.
