Work Location - Aberdeen / London
Purpose of Role:
- Governance – Develop, maintain and own Global Completions systems and standards. Act as Approver for any required completion dispensations. Demonstrate continuous improvement in compliance and performance.
- Assurance - Provide technical assurance to Global Completion function, ensuring Wells standards are met, Well Delivery Process is followed and value creation opportunities are optimised.
- Ensure that completion practices are consistent and best practices shared across the Company’s Bus.
- Ensure that competency assurance and development process are in place and are followed across the drilling community.
Areas of Accountability, Responsibility and Competence:
Health and Safety Environment
- Ensure that all activities are carried out in a safe manner complying with all regulatory requirements, legislation and Harbour Energy HSES procedures.
Global Completions Governance
- Develop and maintain Completions technical standards.
- Manage risk assessment & dispensation process. Approve any required completions related dispensations.
- Liaise with HSES, provide general regulatory support, ensure regulatory compliance and support any audit programmes
Global Completions Assurance
- Responsible for Global Completion Assurance activities. Carry out the necessary technical assurance for the required gates in the SGS/WDP for all Global completion operations.
- Responsible for coordinating and managing SME and technical assistance including peer reviews & peer assists both internally and, using external technical expertise as required.
- Ensure that value creation opportunities are identified, optimised and implemented across all stages of the assurance process. Ensure that cross-industry learnings and new technology is identified as required.
Competency and Staff Development
- Responsible for Global Completion Skill pool management, ensuring sufficient competent resources are available for agreed work scopes.
- Ensure that competency assurance and development process are in place and are followed across the drilling community. Promote and support sharing of Wells personnel and assist in any Wells staff moves between the BU’s as required.
Critical Skills:
- Essential : Engineering Degree or equivalent experience.
- Essential : Major O&G Operator trained Completions Engineering background.
- Extensive and broad experience in completions design and operations for all types of development wells.
- In depth knowledge of technical Minimum Standards and ability to define/write technical documents.
- Ability to deal calmly and effectively with high stress situations.
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills; experience in presenting information to a variety of internal and external audiences.
- Essential : Must hold or able to obtain all International required offshore visitor qualifications/certification
