We are seeking an experienced Senior Security Engineer to join our team and play a pivotal role in ensuring the security and integrity of our systems and data. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading compliance assessment and enforcement efforts, designing and implementing robust security architectures, managing threat detection and response activities, and overseeing identity and access management initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct compliance assessments and enforce security policies and standards to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Design, implement, and maintain security architectures that protect our systems and data from cybersecurity threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Lead threat detection and response efforts, including monitoring and analyzing security events, investigating incidents, and implementing remediation measures.
  • Develop and implement identity and access management strategies, including user authentication, authorization, and privileged access management.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security controls and measures into the software development lifecycle and infrastructure deployment processes.
  • Provide guidance and support to junior members of the security team, and contribute to the continuous improvement of security practices and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field. Advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CEH) preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Security Engineer, with a focus on compliance assessment, security architecture, threat detection and response, and identity and access management.
  • Deep understanding of cybersecurity principles, methodologies, and technologies, with hands-on experience in implementing security controls and measures.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, PCI DSS) and experience in conducting compliance assessments and audits.
  • Proficiency in designing and implementing security architectures for complex IT environments, including cloud-based and hybrid infrastructures.
  • Experience with security technologies and tools such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, DLP, WAF, MFA, etc.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects effectively.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the financial services, healthcare, or other regulated industries.
  • Knowledge of emerging cybersecurity threats and trends, and familiarity with threat intelligence sources and analysis techniques.
  • Experience with security automation and orchestration tools, scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell), and DevSecOps practices.
