Mane Defence is proud to be supporting a leading organisation within the Defence and Marine sectors, looking to expand their team with an Electrical Design Engineer. You’ll be working on cutting-edge electrical and lighting systems for the marine sector, playing a key role in delivering critical systems for naval defence applications.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Design Electrical Systems: Work on the design and development of electrical systems, ensuring that they meet the high standards required for defence applications, specifically for marine environments.
  • Lighting Systems: Develop and design advanced lighting systems to enhance operational efficiency and safety aboard marine platforms.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including engineers, project managers, and clients to deliver innovative solutions that meet customer specifications.
  • Compliance: Ensure that designs comply with industry standards, regulations, and safety requirements specific to the defence and marine sectors.
  • Problem-Solving: Address complex technical challenges with innovative solutions, ensuring performance, reliability, and safety in challenging environments.


Skills & Experience Required:

  • Proven experience as an Electrical Design Engineer or similar role, with a strong focus on electrical and lighting systems.
  • Experience in the defence or marine sectors is highly desirable, though candidates with transferable skills from other industries will also be considered.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical design principles, systems integration, and industry-specific standards.
  • Familiarity with relevant design software tools (e.g. AutoCAD, Revit, or similar).
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate across disciplines.
