What Are We Looking For?
Our Asset Management and Technical Services division is looking for a Contracts Manager to join us in our Dewsbury office on a permanent basis. This is a senior level position within a focused, successful delivery team to aid in providing solutions to the Water industry.
Some of Your Key Duties Include:
Management of the Project, Design & commercial team to oversee and guide the team to deliver projects safely, to the correct quality, on time and on budget.

Makes clear and reasoned decisions and recommendations when faced with novel or complex situations.

Builds and maintains good relationships with key players in the sector with a well-developed network of contacts.

Ensure a consistent and appropriate commercial approach underpins all areas of responsibility within the role and that RSE obtains an optimised value proposition in Contracts / Frameworks.

Drive continued improvement in our commercial performance, ensuring budget controls are in place, outputs are monitored, and any unforeseen movements are challenged and addressed to a satisfactory outcome for RSE.

Define project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.

Develop full-scale project plans and associated communications documents.

Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion

Draft and submit budget proposals and recommend subsequent budget changes where necessary.

Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation and presentations.

Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises and devise contingency plans.

Define project success criteria and disseminate them to involved parties throughout project life cycle.

Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise project team members and contractors, and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.
What Do You Need?
Degree/HND/HNC in Engineering.

Proven experience in a senior engineering position.

Strong project management capability including all aspects of project development, design, construction and commissioning.

Preconstruction design and cost evaluation.

Design estimation and cost planning.

Experience working both independently and, in a team, orientated, collaborative environment is essential.

Able to elicit co-operation from a wide variety of sources including upper management, Clients and other departments.

Able to bring projects to successful completion.

Must be able to learn, understand, and apply new technologies.

Customer service skills/experience an asset.

Ability to effectively prioritise and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment is crucial.
