The Role: Due to continued growth, our reputable Real Estate/Real Estate Finance Senior Associate is looking to expand her practice with the addition of a Real Estate Finance Paralegal in Manchester. This is an excellent opportunity to work alongside a reputable Real Estate Finance Senior Associate and their wider team. The ideal candidate will have previous experience as a real estate paralegal or a real estate finance paralegal. This position is based in our central Manchester office on a hybrid working arrangement. More experienced candidates may be considered on a remote basis. Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to: Previous experience working as a Real Estate Finance paralegal is essential. Opening and closing of files Drafting client care letters Conducting compliance, KYC and ID checks Dealing with redemptions and further advances Carrying out property searches and liaising with the Land Registry. Completion and post completion administration; to include HMRC, companies house and Land Registry applications Diary Management (inputting deadlines and remainders) Monitor emails and respond where necessary and applicable Manage external networking events Preparing Lease Reports, Title Reports, Loan Reports and other document summaries Scheduling Title Deeds and Documents Applying for official copy register entries from Land Registry Be responsible for bills, invoices and expenses Audio typing documents and correspondence Recording all client and matter details on the case management system, Ensuring details are kept up to date Office duties including filing, scanning, photocopying etc Drafting TR1s, DS1s and other land registry documents and land transaction returns. Reviewing title documents Carrying out legal research Day-to-day Duties: General administration and support Drafting legal documents and correspondence Making effective use of information and case management/filing systems (whether electronic or hard copy), including storing and retrieving information Assisting with file opening and the financial management of matters Taking detailed instructions from fee earners and providing regular updates on progress Interacting with clients directly, under supervision Managing case timelines and key deadlines To be successful in the role, you will have prior experience in real estate or real estate finance Law as a Paralegal. You will have strong experience using Microsoft office, Adobe, DocuSign and more. You will be pro-active, efficient, organised, keen to take the initiative and to drive transactions forward. Your Skills and Experience: Excellent communication skills, both written and oral A great telephone manner Initiative and ability to problem solve Proactive Diligent and hard-working Strong attention to detail You will be able to work independently and manage your time effectively in order to hit deadlines You will be a team player and be willing to help colleagues appropriately Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise your workload Good knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook is required You will have a strong academic background and a degree in law or completion of the law conversion course We offer a competitive salary, hybrid working arrangement and opportunity to work closely with a reputable Real Estate Finance team.
