Job Title: Nurture Teacher
Location: Belmont Secondary School, Rawtenstall, Lancashire
Salary: £30,000 per annum
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Contract: Permanent, Term Time only

About the Role
Due to growth in service, we are looking to appoint a Nurture Teacher who is flexible, dynamic and a dedicated individual with experience in working with pupils with Special Educational Needs. This role is to start in September 2024.
You will be a Qualified Teacher with degree, who will be calm, engaging, resilient, and have an innovative style of teaching, motivated by helping every child to reach their potential.
Job Role and Primary Responsibilities
Plan and teach well-structured lessons, following the school’s plans, curriculum and schemes of work
Assess, monitor, record and report on the learning needs, progress and achievements of assigned pupils, making accurate and productive use of assessment
Adapt teaching to respond to the strengths and needs of pupils
Set high expectations which inspire, motivate and challenge pupils
Promote good progress and outcomes by pupils
Demonstrate good subject and curriculum knowledge
Participate in arrangements for preparing pupils for external tests
To lead the learning of a group of pupils who experience a range of needs and challenges (primarily social, emotional and behavioural)
