About the role

As our Senior Category Manager, you will be leading the IT Professional Services category on a global scale within the Procurement function. You will be creating impact and thriving in a dynamic, ever-changing environment. You will be consistently managing the performance of our global IT Professional Service vendors, ensuring seamless collaboration with our internal stakeholders.

You will be developing and maintaining category strategies and commercial models that optimise spend and delivery for IT Professional Services worldwide. Translating global strategies into effective regional market actions will be a key part of your role, requiring you to work closely with cross-functional teams, including Project Management, Finance, Legal, RDD, and Product Units, to support new program development and rollouts.

You will be influencing the business through robust stakeholder and relationship management, embodying the Dyson Behaviours, and leading both yourself and others with a positive attitude. Inspiring confidence during times of uncertainty and change, you will be providing clear direction in the creation and execution of category plans, bringing drive, energy, and pace to all category activities. Your reputation for delivery and strategic clarity will quickly earn you credibility within the team.

Based out of our Malmesbury office with a global remit, you will be engaging in professional growth and leadership development through regular reviews and dynamic workshops. About you
  • Strong background in IT Professional Service procurement and RFX event management
  • Proven ability to manage categories from strategy creation through supplier management
  • Skilled in applying CSER practices in procurement and vendor selection
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and relationship management skills, able to influence global senior stakeholders
  • Demonstrated leadership under pressure with matrix teams and tight deadlines
  • Commercially astute with a meticulous eye for detail and strong problem-solving abilities
  • Proven negotiation skills with successful results
  • Self-motivated, tenacious, and capable of working autonomously or in a team
  • Manages multiple projects to completion efficiently
