Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Site Manager to lead a new development of 225 units in West Sussex. As a Senior Site Manager, you will be responsible for managing the construction process from start to finish, ensuring that the development is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will lead a team and will be responsible for ensuring that all health and safety, quality, and environmental standards are met.
Responsibilities:
Manage the construction process from start to finish, ensuring that the development is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards
Lead a team of site managers, supervisors, and contractors, providing guidance, support, and direction as needed
Ensure that all health and safety, quality, and environmental standards are met, and that all necessary procedures and protocols are in place
Coordinate and manage the activities of subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring that all work is completed to the required standard and on time
Monitor and control costs, ensuring that the development is delivered within budget
Liaise with internal stakeholders, including the construction director, project manager, and sales team, to ensure that the development is delivered to the required standard and on time
Ensure that all necessary documentation, including health and safety files, quality control records, and environmental reports, are completed and maintained
Identify and mitigate risks, and implement corrective actions as needed
Develop and maintain relationships with local authorities, stakeholders, and the local community
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Site Manager with a track record of delivering large-scale residential developments on time, within budget, and to a high quality standard
Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and direct a team of site managers, supervisors, and contractors
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise with internal stakeholders, subcontractors, and suppliers
Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations, including health and safety, quality, and environmental standards
Ability to work under pressure, and to manage multiple tasks and priorities
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks
Valid CSCS card and SMSTS certification
Full driving license
