Red Sky are actively seeking Drivers Mates to join our already successful and vibrant team at Gatwick airport. As a Drivers Mate you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our catering and goods arrive with our airline clients on time, in-line with various scheduling requirements. This role is central to our services, allowing us to distribute the catering and goods which we are very proud of.
The Role
As a Drivers Mate you will be working both airside and non-airside areas within our business:
* Collecting and loading of the bar and catering equipment on to 17-ton rigid vehicles
* Assisting the drivers, you will ensure the goods and catering packages are delivered on time
* Liaise with Cabin Crew from our array of airline clients to facilitate the transfer of catering equipment to and from your vehicle to the aircraft
* Occasional requirement to conduct small vehicle runs with uplifts or additional stock
* Working as part of a team in a fast-paced environment where we aim to delight our customers
Please note your duties will include but are not limited to the above
Requirements
To undertake this role, you must:
* Full UK Driving License (with no more than 6 points)
* Flexible and enthusiastic approach to work
* Enjoy working as part of a team
* Ability to work to tight deadlines
* Have adequate numeracy and English skills
