Key Responsibilities :- Develop Logistics Strategy :
- Design and implement the logistics operations, ensuring alignment with the company’s objectives and regulatory standards in the lighting fixtures industry.
- Optimize end-to-end supply chain processes, from raw material procurement to final product delivery.
- Rep System Management :
- Establish and manage the logistics operations for representative (rep) systems, ensuring that reps have the necessary tools and inventory to serve clients effectively.
- Coordinate with sales and distribution teams to optimize rep-based order fulfillment, returns, and stock replenishment.
- Inventory Control :
- Oversee inventory management, ensuring optimal stock levels are maintained in warehouses and rep locations.
- Implement inventory tracking systems to monitor stock levels, orders, deliveries, and storage.
- Transportation & Distribution :
- Manage all transportation logistics, including inbound and outbound freight.
- Coordinate with carriers and negotiate contracts to ensure timely and cost-effective shipping solutions.
- Warehousing :
- Supervise warehousing operations, ensuring safe, secure, and efficient handling of lighting fixtures and components.
- Develop storage solutions that accommodate the size and fragility of lighting fixtures.
- Supplier & Vendor Relations :
- Establish strong relationships with suppliers, distributors, and vendors to ensure the timely and reliable flow of materials and products.
- Collaborate with suppliers to manage shipping schedules and delivery timelines.
- Cost Management :
- Monitor and manage logistics budgets to reduce operational costs while maintaining service levels.
- Analyze logistics performance metrics and implement cost-saving measures where applicable.
- Compliance :
- Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements related to logistics, transportation, and warehousing within the lighting industry.
- Adhere to environmental and safety standards during the transportation and storage of products.
- Team Leadership :
- Lead and mentor a logistics team, ensuring efficient day-to-day operations.
- Conduct performance evaluations and train staff in logistics operations and best practices.
- Experience :
- Proven work experience in logistics management within the manufacturing industry, specifically in lighting fixtures or related sectors (minimum 5-7 years).
- Experience with rep system logistics and managing third-party distribution networks.
- Skills :
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to design and optimize logistics processes.
- Proficiency in logistics software and systems (e.g., SAP, ERP, WMS).
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Education :
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Certifications :
- Certifications such as Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) or Certified in Logistics, Transportation, and Distribution (CLTD) are advantageous.
