CAD Technician

Carmichael UK are seeking a CAD technician to join a growing team at Heathrow Airport to assist in the designs to major packages including runway resurfacing. 
As CAD tech you will ensure that standards and processes for CAD / BIM are in place and implemented, and that these standards are communicated and applied across projects for the full lifecycle.
Principal Accountabilities
• Produce design drawings as part of the designs constructed in a safe efficient manner.
• Ensure compliance with the standards for BIM level 2 – including ISO (phone number removed):2018 and ISO (phone number removed):2018;
• Produce coordinated models, and review processes.
• Produce design models using latest Computer Aided Design CAD packages as projects require.
• Compliance with design assurance and audit processes
• Comply with the requirements of the designer as determined by the CDM Regulations (as amended in April 2016)
• Support and mentor other members of the team to enhance their technical knowledge.
• Help with preparation of tenders and quotations.
• Manage workload
• Work as a Team Player in a dedicated team of Designers and CAD.
Work is Monday to Friday days but there is also opportunity for weekend/night overtimes too
