JOB SUMMARY:
We are delighted to be working with one of the top National players in their field of expertise. Environmental Sustainability including testing, data analysis and surveys.  Essentially the New Business Development Manager will be growing the new business base through acquiring new business acquisitions as well as cross-selling activities from the current portfolio of services to existing clients. Leadership and innovation is required along with sales best practice to manage your new business pipeline, and work as part of a high-performing commercial team. The role will entail working closely with the marketing team and bids team on creating campaigns, and events to aid in growing new business.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Along with the commercial team, build and agree a business plan with activities that enable you to exceed your targets
Manage inbound lead generation funnel of opportunities
Ensure a data-driven approach to prospecting, focusing on services and sectors with the highest propensity to buy
Use opportunity qualification techniques such as BANT, MEDDICC and similar, to ensure opportunities are scored and prioritised as appropriate to bring focus and urgency. 
Forecasting and ensuring opportunities are up to date
Attend relevant networking and industry events, ensuring leads are generated, qualified, and entered in the CRM pipeline before tracking the ROI from leads generated. 
Work with environmental experts and deliver high quality quotations
Being responsible for the end-to-end sales process and ensuring orders are captured correctly and policies, procedures, credit checks and all due diligence is carried out before any work on-site commences
Working with other departments ensuring cross-selling from existing clients to optimise new business opportunities KEY SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:  
Senior experience in sales with specific knowledge of environmental and sustainability needs in the commercial sector (geotechnical / asbestos / ecological)
Good knowledge of a sales technique such as Challenger, SPIN, Miller Heiman or Sandler  
Experienced with selling serviced based contractual agreements. 
Excellent verbal, written, communication and presentation skills. 
Experience of opportunity qualification techniques such as BANT or MEDDICC. 
IT literate and familiar with CRM and forecast systems together with back-office systems and tools such as Microsoft 365. 
Previous sales experience ideally within the consulting risk management sector. 
Must be willing to travel throughout the UK as required.
Full UK Driving Licence

As a National company there are multiple locations throughout England, the role will entail travelling to sites and WFT.  There may be an occasional visit to one of their offices closest to where you reside.
