Senior Print Designer

We are looking for a Senior Print Designer to join us on a maternity contract basis. This opportunity is starting ASAP and will see you direct the print and colour design direction of our collections ahead.
The design team create the mood, colour palette, prints and key shapes of the collection each season and we are seeking a Senior Print Designer with strong handwriting skills to ensure the balance of commerciality and fashion is met.
Reporting into the Head of Design and partnering with the wider Design team, the Senior Print Designer will demonstrate the ability to elevate and move our brand forward, creating a seasonal strategic print and colour directive across our collection.
Key accountabilities for the role include:
- Being involved in the whole design process from establishing trends and commercial direction to seeing the products right through to production
- Proposing commercial concepts for design stories, producing mood boards based on key trends for each category
- Collaborating with the wider Design team and Buying team to ensure a unified style direction each season
- Managing the critical path for print, ensuring deadlines are adhered to and key milestones are achieved
- Keeping fully abreast of the key global trends and anticipate those which are relevant to the Whistles customer
This is a broad role which will see you work collaboratively with the wider product teams, planning and building the full product ranges together. Previous experience within print and placement design is required and experience working with fashion/luxury brands is valuable.
