Scania have a fantastic opportunity for a passionate and solutions orientated individual to play a key role in our Customer Support Department, as our new National Support Manager. You will be someone who delights in delivering an exceptional service, and is experienced in managing customer accounts, building relationships, managing expectations, and liaising with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
Reporting to the Customer Support Manager, the main responsibility of the National Support Manager (NSM) is to provide an interface between Scania at Milton Keynes, the Dealer Network, and a nominated portfolio of National Fleet customers. You will use your understanding of business issues, processes, and outcomes to enhance business performance. A willingness to travel is essential as you will be visiting customers and Scania colleagues at their branch locations.
Key Responsibilities
•    Customer focussed – a passion for helping internal and external customers meet their goals, becoming the ‘go to’ for all parties, clearly communicating next steps.
•    Business acumen - demonstrate an understanding of customers’ commercial offerings, industry, business, motivational drivers and needs.
•    Technical understanding – an understanding of the HGV industry, its products and services.
•    Problem solving - understanding problems and identifying solutions, specif-ically how Scania can contribute to the optimisation of customers’ profitability.
•    Stakeholder management – managing expectations with honesty and integrity. Planning, negotiating and delivering in line with the premium service Scania offers our customers and           colleagues.
•   Team player – an appreciation and drive for team achievement, often being the lynchpin, bringing parties together.
Meet the Manager
Damian has worked within the Scania network for over 10 years, gaining valuable knowledge, insight, relationships, and trust. Having recently been promoted, Damian can provide the successful candidate with great insight into the role and will be a brilliant mentor.
Quote from Damian
“The flexibility to manage your own day, the freedom and trust Scania provide their people to make decisions and the family feel the company gives you, are the main reasons why I find Scania such a brilliant place to work. This is a great opportunity for someone to really get to know our network. I am looking for someone who genuinely cares about our customers, wants to grow within our business and is keen to make a positive difference”.
Working for Scania is not just about the job. It’s about you too, and this is where the company goes the extra mile and provides an industry leading employment package.  We offer an excellent benefits package which includes a pension scheme, complementary life insurance, financial incentive schemes and discounts on major retail outlets including groceries.
At Scania we invest considerably in colleague development, and you can expect to receive comprehensive training and career progression not only in the UK but throughout our Global organisation.
We have a strong and supportive culture, where each individual is seen, respected and has the potential to contribute. We trust each other to act and make decisions, and we believe in a more flexible future workplace based on individual needs.  For us, diversity and inclusion is a strategic necessity. By having colleagues with the widest possible range of skills, knowledge, backgrounds, and experiences, we ensure we have the right people and together with an inclusive corporate culture, this drives our business forward. We want our colleagues to feel proud and happy to work for us, no matter where they are from or who they are, and we strive to achieve an inclusive and family-friendly environment for everyone.
Scania is dedicated to delivering exceptional products and services to our customers and the successful candidate will reflect our core values; CUSTOMER FIRST, RESPECT, ELIMINATION OF WASTE, RESPONSIBILITY and TEAM SPIRIT in all we do
