IT Manager, ERP, Manufacturing, Telford to £60,000
This is a great opportunity for an IT Manager to join a leading manufacturer in Telford. They are a market leader in their field and require an IT Manager to lead technical architecture for all IT systems within the business. You will be Responsible for delivery of the technical support function within the department via the service desk and for assigned IT projects. You will also be responsible for deputising for the Head of IT in their absence.
Key Responsibilities
* Derive strategic IT and digital initiatives from business unit strategy in close cooperation with Group IT
* Ensure a secure and stable operations, deployment and further development of BU-specific IT systems, IT services, IT-Infrastructure and IT processes, including (e.g.) local ERP-system (Microsoft Dynamics) and connected reporting systems; MES, E-shop, EDI ordering platforms and payment solutions in coordination with the respective business departments
* Analysis of business processes and identification of process improvement based on software capabilities in line with business needs and demands aligned with Management
* Development and implementation of new IT-systems based on demands of the Business in alignment with Global IT standards and processes
* Responsible for the provision of local IT infrastructure & services including desktop applications, networks, IT security and telecommunications derived from Group IT standards and using services provided by Group IT
* Selection and control of internal and external IT service providers regarding performance and costs
* Ensure and support successful implementation of IT projects and manage IT-related projects, meeting deadlines as requested.
* Ensure best practice solutions are in place for the company’s systems in line with requirements and standard set by Group IT.
* Ensure compliance to global IT processes (such as demand and project portfolio management, etc.) and guidelines in business unit
* Ensure the compliance with internal and external IT policies and regulatory requirements, as well as IT security and IT emergency management requirements, including disaster recovery plan
* Responsible for the annual local (internal and external) IT budget.
* Develop and monitor local company’s IT Helpdesk; monitor and align tickets with Group IT.
* Co-ordinate and control the work of subordinates, ensuring adequate ‘out of hours’ cover is available.
* Management and supervision of all IT staff, including staff appraisals, setting objectives, disciplinary actions, etc.
* Ensure staff are trained
